Altar Servers

Serving at the Altar is a beautiful way to grow closer to Christ and to serve the Church. Altar servers play a vital role in helping the whole community give praise to God and show the reverence due to Him, especially during the Holy Mass.

By assisting the priest and deacon, altar servers help ensure that the liturgy is celebrated with dignity and order. Their presence reminds us that we are gathered for something sacred and worthy of our very best. Through their service—carrying the cross and candles, holding the book, preparing the altar, and assisting during the liturgy—altar servers lift the prayer of the entire parish to God.

Boys may begin serving at the altar once they have received their First Holy Communion. Training is provided, and all who are eligible are welcome to take part in this special way of worshiping God.
