Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion
Sharing the Body and Blood of Christ with the faithful is one of the greatest privileges in the Church. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHCs) assist the priest and deacon in distributing the Eucharist during Mass, ensuring that all who come forward to receive Our Lord are welcomed with reverence and care.
This ministry is above all a ministry of love for the Eucharist. Those who serve are encouraged to deepen their devotion to Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, especially by making Holy Hours and participating in at least the First Friday devotion each month.
Training is provided, and those who feel called to this ministry are encouraged to offer their time and love for Christ in this special way.
