The Seven Sisters Apostolate

We are deeply grateful for the generous heart and faithful response of the women in our parish who have embraced a beautiful ministry of support for our priests. Through the inspiration of the Seven Sisters Apostolate — whose mission is “that a Holy Hour is prayed each day of the week for the sole intention of a specific priest or bishop” — we now have a living reality within our community.

Because of your willingness to commit to one Holy Hour each week for your assigned priest, our three priests — Fr. Lou, Fr. Dean and Fr. Paul — each have at least seven women in our parish praying for them every single day of the week. What a gift! What a powerful sign of Christ’s love poured out!

To each of you who took up that invitation: thank you. Your sacrifice of time, your fidelity to showing up, and your willing heart to enter into this “holy wasting” of prayer for our priests means you are bearing fruit in a quiet, hidden, but deeply spiritual way.

Because of your prayer:

  • Our priests are held up in a circle of intercession.

  • The work of the Gospel in our parish is strengthened through spiritual support.

  • The entire Body of Christ in our community is touched by this prayerful service.

This ministry only takes one hour a week and the fruit is eternal. Let us continue to stand united in prayer, support one another, uplift our priests, and bring Christ’s light ever more deeply into our parish family.
