Why We Are Becoming a Parish Family

As part of the Archdiocese of Seattle’s Partners in the Gospel initiative, our local parishes—St. Frances Cabrini, St. John Bosco, and Immaculate Conception—have begun the journey of becoming a parish family. This process is rooted in the call to renew parish life, strengthen our mission, and ensure a vibrant Catholic presence for generations to come.

With fewer priests, changing demographics, and a deep desire to grow as disciples of Jesus, the Archdiocese is bringing parishes together to collaborate more closely, share resources, and build stronger faith communities. By becoming a parish family, we are not losing our identity—we are gaining partners in mission, united in prayer, service, and the Eucharist.

Annual Catholic Appeal 2025

Together in Faith

Together in Faith is the theme of this year’s Annual Catholic Appeal. The Annual Catholic Appeal supports essential ministries and services throughout Western Washington, including outreach to those in need, Catholic education, faith formation, vocations, and administrative support for parishes.

Congratulations, Lakewood Catholic Parish Family!

We are thrilled to share that both St. Frances Cabrini and St. John Bosco have met—and even surpassed—their Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA) goals!

  • St. Frances Cabrini surpassed its goal of $82,802 with $84,555 pledged by 179 families—about 9% of the parish.

  • St. John Bosco met its goal of $71,901 with $71,983 pledged by 165 families, representing an impressive 30% of the parish.

This is a wonderful testament to your generosity and commitment to the mission of the Church. Any amount raised above our goal will be returned to us as a rebate, supporting key parish projects, such as the carillon system at Cabrini and maintenance projects at Bosco.
